The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is live
The Government’s Job Retention Scheme, designed to stop permanent mass redundancies, help prevent unemployment and support businesses battered by the coronavirus pandemic, has gone live. The Government’s furlough scheme will help pay people’s wages with businesses able to pay their employees 80% of their regular monthly salary or £2,500 a month, whichever is lower, and then reclaim that sum from the Government.
