The Basque cooperative Orkli, of the MONDRAGON Corporation, a world leader in the gas safety market and a reference point in the water heating and home comfort sector at a global level, had acquired 45% of the share capital of the electrical engineering company Gruppo Giordano in 2019.
Advisor to the transaction, alongside partners Bruno Giordano and Francesco Nicola Renoffio of Giordano Controls, was Belluzzo International Partners with equity partner Ignazio Stefano Barone, who handled the financial and tax aspects, and the legal team with lawyers Andrea Moja, Chiara Gandini and Luca Bisconti.
EY assisted Orkli, a Cooperativa under Spanish law, with a legal team coordinated by partner Christian Busca, manager Erjena Agaraj and seniors Luigi Gazzaneo, Ornella Lombardi and Iolanda Severino. The tax aspects were handled by partner Roberto de Bernardinis and senior manager Alessandro Pina.
