UK Autumn Budget 2026: Belluzzo International Partners' Workshop at the Italian Embassy in London
We were delighted to welcome clients, friends and institutional guests to the Italian Embassy in London on 30 October for a workshop on the UK Autumn Budget 2026, held two days after the Budget was presented. We thank H.E. Fabio Cassese, Ambassador of Italy to the UK, for hosting us and opening the morning, and Marika Cioffi, UK Chief Representative Officer of Banca d’Italia, for her economic outlook following the Budget.
Gary Ashford, Head of Tax at Belluzzo International Partners, set out the tax implications for businesses, investors and international families. Although the Budget avoided broad-based tax rises, he highlighted the changes behind the headlines: higher taxation of savings and property income, a forthcoming consultation on how owners extract profits from their companies, and a stronger focus on HMRC compliance and digitalisation. Alessandro Belluzzo, Founder Partner, added the legal and compliance perspective, including the new duty to correct tax returns from 2028 and the greater disclosure expected of international taxpayers, and encouraged clients to use the coming year to plan.

Alessandro then moderated a panel and Q&A with Enzo Lamberti (CEO, LDH (La Doria)), Emily Edberg (Managing Partner, Town Hall by Bottaccio) and Roberto Costa (Founder, Progetto San Leonardo), on why Italian entrepreneurs continue to invest in the UK.
